Why Dashmool can treat these disorders?
According to Ayurveda, Dashmool directs (leads) the flow of vata from the upper body downwarding to the lower body.
If a patient has a disorder in the upper body due to excess (uprising) vata, such as bronchitis, headache, dry cough, asthma, fever, sore throat, etc., Dashmool can relieve it by directing (leading) the flow of vata from the upper body to the lower body. This redirection weakens the excess vata (pushes back the uprising vata) in the upper body.

Dashmool contains the following ten herbs:
– Shalaparni (Desmodium gangeticum)

– Kantakari (Solanum xanthocarpum)
– Bruhati (Solanum indicum)
– Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris)
– Bilva (Aegle marmelos)
– Agnimantha (Premna integrifolia)
– Shyonaka (Oroxylum indicum)
– Kashmari (Gmelina arborea)
– Patala (Stereospermum suaveolens)
How to Take Dashmool
To treat a health disorder:
– Put 1 teaspoon (5 gram) powder and a cup of water in a pot
– Bring to a boil, and simmer for 10 minutes
– Drink it, twice a day
