Swedana is effective for relieving stiffness, heaviness, and cold in the body. According to Ayurveda, Swedana therapy releases excess doshas (accumulated toxins) from the body, helps to restore unbalanced doshas back to their natural state.

The procedure of Swedana therapy
– Before the therapy, the practitioner must first assess the patient’s dosha type and health condition to determine the best mixture of herbs and what type Swedana is the best for the patient
– The patient sits or lies in a herb-infused steam box, or places the specific part of the body in the box
– Special herbs are used in the steam for the purpose of the disease
– The steam treatment lasts for 10 to 90 minutes
