It is said that bdellium can help to lower cholesterol levels, relieve arthritis, regulate thyroid gland, and reduce body weight.
Bdellium (pronounced “delm”) is an aromatic gum resin similar to myrrh. Bdellium gum is produced by certain Asian and African shrubs or trees of the genus Commiphora. The gum makes a good fixative of scent in perfumes, and is also used as a remedy to help treat disorders. Bdellium gum has the similar uses of myrrh except that myrrh is more expensive.
How to use bdellium gum for obesity, weight loss, cholesterol, and thyroid gland:
– Take 1-3 grams of the gum powder by mouth
– Three times per day, with dietary restrictions
Bdellium gum can be used to make a tincture for treating arthritis:
– Take 1 teaspoon of bdellium gum tincture
– Three times a day, 30 minutes before meals
You may find bdellium gum sold as a tincture, tablet or capsule form in herbal or health food stores.
Please note, pregnant women and people with low blood sugar levels or bleeding should avoid bdellium gum. If you experience negative side effects such as a rash or stomach problems, stop taking bdellium gum. Consult your doctor before using it.
