Curry can be used to help treat cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, wet Cough, arthritis, joint pain and promote sex drive.

Curry is a spice widely used in Indian and South Asian cuisines. Curry can be added to meat, poultry, fish, shellfish, vegetables, and rice. Curry is not a single ingredient, but a mixture of spices. Most commercial curry powders in the markets contain turmeric as the main ingredient and the color is yellow. Other ingredients in the curry powders often include coriander, cumin, fenugreek, mustard, chili, black pepper and salt. And garlic, allspice, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, mace, cardamom, or bay leaves may be also added to the curry powers. Please note, curry powder is a generic term for a mixture of different spices. Depending on the country and recipe, additional ingredients may be added.

Modern studies have shown that ingredients in curry may help to prevent and treat certain diseases, including cancer (colon cancer, breast cancer, skin cancer), Alzheimer’s disease, wet Cough, lung congestion, arthritis, rheumatism and joint pain. It is also used as an aphrodisiac to promote sex drive.curry

According to the traditional medical theory, curry is a combination of hot spices. It reduces mucus and swelling due to its warming and drying properties. That may explain why curry can help to relieve wet cough, arthritis, rheumatism and joint pain. With the hot and warming properties, curry warms organs and promotes circulation, thus it can, at least temporarily, stimulate sex drive. Many ingredients in the curry, such as turmeric, cumin, fenugreek, and cinnamon, have “downwards” effects – they guide (lead) fluids and Qi from the upper body downwards, warm and strengthen the lower body. This helps to relieve disorders caused by excess fluids and uprising Qi in the upper body, such as wet coughs, breast cancer, and helps to treat disorders caused by weakness and coldness in the lower body, such as lower back pain, joint pain, low sex drive, menstrual pain, cold abdominal pain, cold legs, etc.

Please note, due to the warming and downwarding effects, if you have bleeding problem, or have hot symptoms in the lower body, you should not use it. For example, if you suffer from kidney stones or high sex drive, you should not take curry because kidney stones and high sex drive indicate that the lower body, at least the kidneys and sex organs are in “hot” (over-functioning) condition, which should be cooled down instead of warming up. Anyway, before using curry to treat a disease, you should consult your doctor. Even curry may help to treat a disease, you should only use it as a remedy, not a medicine, especially when treating a cancer.
