Here is a recipe of alfalfa congee used in Chinese food therapies for treating kidney stones:
Ingredients
– Fresh alfalfa 200g
– Rice 100g
– water 1000g
– Salt according to the taste
– Lard 1 teaspoon
Direction
– Put rice and water into a pot
– Boil and simmer them for at least one hour to make a congee (you can use a slow cooker to make a congee)
– Wash and cut alfalfa into pieces
– Place a pan on stove, when the pan is hot, add lard to the pan
– Fry alfalfa in the pan like vegetable, add salt, stirring, then put it on a dish
– When the congee is ready, add the fried alfalfa into the congee
– Consume it while warm, once a day
